About this Event
The 2nd annual Heartland Book Festival will take place on October 12 at the Central Library in downtown Kansas City with authors, books, activities, and more! Join us for a movie and discussion in the Film Vault.
Is the book always better than the movie? Some film adaptations stick closely to the source material. Others add new characters and subplots, taking viewers on a completely different journey. Join us for a viewing of Pride and Prejudice, followed by a lively discussion with the Library’s Cullen Roop.
The Heartland Book Festival is co-presented by the Kansas City Public Library, Missouri Humanities, and the Missouri Center for the Book.
