Join Coast DIY and REACH, Inc. for a Pumpkin Pour Party!The party will be held at REACH’s Big Free Bookstore on Thursday, October 24, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. You'll get to pour your own 6" craft pumpkin, which will last forever! We’ll also have fun ornaments you can dip into the excess paint for extra creativity.
Important details to keep in mind when signing up:
- Children as young as 4 years old can participate, but they will need hands-on help. The process involves using thumbtacks, which requires adult assistance. Young children may not have the coordination to do it on their own and will need constant supervision. Please plan for adult supervision as we won’t have extra staff available to assist with child’s activity.
- You’ll be able to choose 5 colors for your pumpkin. However, the colors in the sample photos may not be available, so be open to other options—I'll bring a wide variety to choose from.
- Plan to leave your pumpkin at the venue for 2 days to dry. Moving it before then will ruin the effect, so please prepare any children to leave their pumpkins behind. You can return during business hours to pick it up after 48 hours.
- Dress for a mess! We’ll have paper towels, but make sure not to wear your best clothes.
- Want to do more than one pumpkin? Feel free to purchase as many as you'd like!
- Bring your camera or phone! This is a great activity to capture on video, but be sure to enjoy the moment—I can record for you if needed.
About the venue: REACH, Inc. (Reading Enriches All Children) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to promoting literacy by ensuring that children in our community have access to books. This event will be held at their unique FREE bookstore, located in JANAF Shopping Center. All proceeds will benefit REACH’s mission.
