A relaxed interactive workshop to explore how we can green our streets, reduce flooding, and make local spaces more welcoming.
Weโll look at opportunities across several local locations, from parks and streets to local faith spaces, and work together to shape nature-based solutions such as rain gardens, planters and green pockets.
The session will include:
- interactive mapping and design
- idea sharing
- Selecting and working through priority sites
- opportunity to become a Future-Proof Neighbourhood Champion.
Open to all residents of Slough - even if you are just a little bit curious.

Come have your say and get involved by sharing ideas in interactive ways to re-imagine the area with retrofit solutions that are practical, pretty and sustainable.

Project SPONGE uses natural techniques to absorb and control water, reintroducing nature into our surroundings to help make our community more resilient to future floods.
We've brought together communities, conservation charities, and flood specialists to address specific concerns and work as a team to tackle these issues.

About Wildfowl and Wetland Trust ()
WWT is a leading wetland restoration charity, focused on unlocking the power of wetlands โ to help nature burst back to life. This means bringing together residents, to act as one, for a stronger and more sustainable response to the climate and nature crises.
The National Flood Forum exists to support individuals and communities at risk of flooding and have been doing this across the country since 2002.
