Re-furnish: Furniture Workshop - Further Skills in Furniture Repair and Upholstery

Katrina from Urban Vintage and Karen from Re-jiggery will be returning to WEN to teach more furniture repair and upholstery techniques.
They will be giving demonstrations and sharing the skills you need so you can try some hands-on tasks.
You can bring your own furniture to get advice and work on but please email us to check that your item would be appropriate for the workshop.
Learn how to:
- Fill holes, hide cracks and cover stains in wooden furniture: What to use - paints, stains, oils, varnishes, waxes, washes. Treating wood rot. History of vintage, antique and mid-century furniture and appropriate repair methods to use for each.
- Tear down and rebuild a drop-in dining chair seat: Choosing whether to repair or replace the foam pad. Alternatives to synthetic foams - fibre, feathers or wool. Fire retardancy.
