During the last decades of neoliberal individualisation and globalization, biopsychosocial conditions such as depression, anxiety, addiction, psychoses, burn out, narcissism, ADHS, PTSD, experiences of isolation, stress, numbness, meaninglessness, loneliness etc. have been steadily, even dramatically, on the rise. All of these health issues and many more point to one core issue: disconnection and alienation. We have lost the connection to who we are as individuals, community, humans and earthlings and created a world and political economy that is increasingly traumatising and hostile to basic human needs. We live in a culture where what is considered “normal” is often toxic, aiding trauma, fear, suffering and disconnection. Some of this we even call “love”.
Re:Connective Circles are experiential spaces that invite the witnessing and healing of our many layers of disconnection through inquiries and explorations into Re:Connective Arts. Together we create nurturing, safe, non-judgemental, compassionate and trauma sensitive spaces of authenticity, trust and care that invite us to (re-)open ourselves to the beauty and joy of connection – to the many aspects of ourselves, others, Mother Earth, life and love.
In order to deepen our reconnective experience and learning, each circle lasts at least three hours and focuses on a specific topic related to love, connection and healing. During the circles we will employ a wide variety of Re:Connective Arts that have been curated to address the topic of the circle and to facilitate reconnection by engaging and nourishing body, heart, mind, soul and spirit.
Re:Connective Arts include practices inspired by, depending on the actual circle: Sharing Circles and Circling, Self- and Collective Relational Explorations – Dialogue and Presentations – Reflection and Awareness Practices – Shadow and Inner Parts Work – Conscious and Authentic Relating – Embodiment, Somatics and Bodywork – Movement, Dance and Contact Improvisation – Conscious Touch – Meditation – Compassionate and Non-Violent Communication – Ritual – (Primal) Play and Performance – Co-Creation – Compassionate Inquiry – The Work that Reconnects – Open Spaces.
Re:Connective Circles invite you to drop your masks and come as you are, with everything that is alive within you. You are very welcome. Let us explore and co-create new ways of relating and healing for a “more beautiful world our hearts know is possible” (Charles Eisenstein).
Please come with an open mind and a readiness to challenge yourself – within a space that is created to carry and nurture you throughout this process. A challenge holds great potential for growth, expansion, understanding, realization – particularly if consciously experienced and integrated and held in a caring and compassionate space.
Upcoming Circles and Topics:
What is Love and Loving?
Tuesday 09.07. 19-22h
In this Circle we will explore different meanings, practices and ideas of love and loving across different times and cultures. We will explore what love means to each one of us, where our own love may be blocked and how we can embody and practice the Art of Re:Connective Loving in daily life.
What is Trust?
Tuesday 23.07. 19-22h
During this Circle we will explore questions and issues of trust and how they relate to our (in-)ability to experience and express love and connection. We will look at where our own trust may be blocked and how we can cultivate trust to create and deepen intimate and meaningful connections and to grow deep community.
Re:Conciliation Circle I – Being "Man" and "Diverse/Non-Binary" Today
Tuesday 06.08. 19-22h
In this first of two special Re:Conciliation Circles we will be addressing, sharing and consciously experiencing what it means to be seen and experienced as a “man” today (and, if there is interest, also what it means to be seen as “diverse/non-binary”) and the challenges, fears, insecurities and difficulties this may bring, particularly with reference to relating to oneself and others.
Re:Conciliation Circle II – Being "Woman" Today
Tuesday 20.08. 19-22h
In the second Re:Conciliation Circle we will invite those who are identified as women to share their experiences of being alive in this world today, with a particular focus on love, connection, attraction and "the other gender". We will particularly address issues of patriarchy and dominance and how they influence the experience of being a woman today.
During both Re:Conciliation Circles we will be creating safe spaces where we can dive deeply into exploration and an authentic open exchange between the genders to aid mutual understanding, reconciliation, forgiveness and healing after thousands of years of patriarchy and cultural conditioning and the resultant personal beliefs and trauma that we carry within.
