About this Event
Simulation-based education often serves as a gateway to clinical practice by providing learners with key opportunities to gain new competencies without risk to patients. Challenges remain in promoting transfer of learning from simulation to workplace contexts. This conference will focus on educational and research strategies that build the bridges necessary to promote transfer from simulation to practice.
In this SIMposium we will bring together international simulation educators and researchers from a variety of educational settings including Dr Paul Murphy (Queen's University Belfast), Dr Julia C. Seelandt (University Hospital Zurich), Dr Gozie Offiah (Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland), Dr Ryan Brydges (University of Toronto), Prof Gabriel Reedy (King's College London) . By exchanging evidence-based approaches, we will discuss current strategies in simulation-based education and identify opportunities to build bridges from simulation to real world practice.
