https://rotarycentreforthearts.com/learn/activities/Annabel Stanley offers a fun and creative day of weaving your choice of stars, a wreath, or if you're very ambitious, both. Weaving materials used in this workshop come from locally foraged materials that grow here in the Okanagan. They include Willow, Dogwood, Alder, Grape vines, grasses, moss and other “foraged finds."
Annabel Stanley is a Natural Fiber Artist who weaves with vine canes, Dogwood, Willow, moss and many other materials which give a vibrant natural effect that exhibit inside and outside.
Annabel has been weaving for over 20 years, she started in New Zealand where she lived with her family before they came to the Okanagan in 2003. They purchased their own vineyard, which borders onto the McDougall Rim hiking trails, West Kelowna and she and her dogs like to hike and gather on these trails regularly.
