This is the official album release concert celebrating the 2nd release from Raze The Maze, 7am Dream (released Sept. 2, 2022). You'll hear odd meter, unusual but alluring chord progressions, dense vocal harmonies, and witness aggressive and passionate performances with lyrics on duality, mind expansion, the purgatory of isolation, absurdism, conspiracy and its current role in society, and philosophy. This music is both cerebral and emotional, insane and odd while teaming with life, hooks & heart.
THE MCH TRIO
----
Instrumental power trio of the 21'st Century.
Working from steeped traditions of jazz, blues, and rock, MCH Trio fuses musical forms and sounds that are both familiar and completely unique into an unfolding tapestry of guitaristic goodness. Extreme musical abilities, while on display, never cloud the goal of delivering a palpable feeling. MCH takes the advice of Captain Beefheart to truly use the guitar as a "divining rod".
MCH - guitar
Terry Branam - drums
Paul Eastburn - bass
RAZE THE MAZE
----
Raze the maze is the bay area-born progressive rock band from musical stalwarts, Tarik Ali Ragab and Moorea Dickason. They previously cofounded the Manga Carta Records band, MoeTar. Joining them to play this adventurous and ambitious music live are some of the best musicians in the Bay Area; Paul Hanson on bassoon, Brian Sheu on guitar, Terry Branam on drums and Colin Hogan on keys. This band and creative project from Moorea & Tarik seek to raze the internal maze of fear-based corporate-driven culture and to raise up creativity, connection, and expression in its place through music, art and community.
BRUNETTE
----
From the mind of Bay Area bass player & producer Jonathan Herrera, Brunette is an on-again/off-again band composed of the best musicians willing to answer Jon’s phone calls.
After studying music at USC and the Los Angeles Music Academy, Jonathan went on to become the Editor-in-Chief of Bass Player Magazine. His playing credits include: Stanley Jordan, Oz Noy, Miguel Migs, Fantastic Negrito, Cathedrals, MoeTar, Zigaboo Modeliste, Brain, Garaj Mahal, Miguel Migs, Cyrus Chestnut, Cathy Richardson, Michael Lee Firkins, Jon Fishman, and lots more.
