Thank you for booking to visit Raystede. We look forward to welcoming you soon.
About this Event

To ensure the safety of some of our more nervous animals and to help you enjoy your visit, we are asking that all visitors book a Ticket for their arrival and every visitor aged three or over must be counted in your booking. Entry will only be permitted with a valid booking. On arrival please give the name on your booking and once checked in, you are welcome to stay with us all day until we close at 4pm.

Entry is free but we would be very grateful if you would consider making a donation to help us continue our work and help all the animals in our care.

At the start of your visit, our team will be happy to greet you and explain how best to enjoy our beautiful animal welfare site.

The Aviaries walkway closes at 2pm every day. Some of our birds love seeing visitors but others find it stressful so we close the Aviaries early so our birds can relax and unwind each day. Please note - the wire mesh on the Aviaries is in place to protect our birds from avian flu. This does not affect our birds at all but it may make it a little more difficult to see them. Please walk quietly and calmly through the Aviaries. Thank you.

We are delighted that Raystede's sanctuary and lakes area are now open. This includes the paths past our hen and duck enclosures, Rainbow Bridge and the dog walk. This area has been closed for a while due to avian flu restrictions and then the construction of Project Terrapin, our terrapin sanctuary, which is nearing completion.

Cafe Raystede is open from 10am for breakfast and lunch; we are operating a table service for eating inside plus a takeaway service and we have plenty of outside seating. https://www.raystede.org/visit-us/cafe/

We ask please that you do not bring a picnic , no ball games and that you leave scooters/trikes in your car to ensure the safety of Visitors and our animals.

The Charity Shop and our Pet Goods shop are both open from 10am, so why not stock up on a bargain or some treats?

Our Charity Shop accepts donations every day between 10am and 3pm. We accept Pet Goods and unopened food any day between 10am and 3pm. Please bring your donations of Pet Goods to Visitor Information

Dogs are welcome on a short lead.
