Ravi Campbell is back at the Jazz Loft with a new band. After his impressive debut with us last year, the demand for a return was definitely on the cards.
This show will feature a mixture of his brand new original music as well as some unusual arrangements of more standard material. In his compositions, he displays a melodic voice that draws from Brazilian, and other folk elements, inviting the listener into a whirlwind of familiar grooves and structures with new sonic deviances.
Joining him will be current NYC resident Sean Hong Wei on saxophone, the outstanding Sharik Hasan on piano and keyboards, and Wen Ming Soh on drums.
