It's back! The third instalment of Raves Of Longton, celebrating Stoke On Trent's heritage of rave culture and the legendary nights at both Shelleys Laserdome & the Longton Leisurebowl. The event prides itself of being strictly for the music heads with the main local protagonists from back in the day. The original tracks delivered to you via the original performers from the time. This event isn't about colourful line ups to try and sell extra tickets, this is all about the music and its authenticity delivered in the correct way to take you back into time.Our last 2 events have been incredibly special with a lot of original heads saying musically its as authentic as they've heard since the early 90s.
Worldwide rave heroes ALTERN-8 originally from Stafford are part of the very fabric of Rave culture who not only were making hit records back during this iconic period but have spread the 'rave gospel' all over the globe over the last 30 years taking a little bit of Longton with them all over the world!
Daz Willott is without doubt Stoke on Trent's king of rave! Resident DJ at both The Leisurebowl & Shelleys for all the main brands like ENTROPY & AMNESIA as well as guesting at all the fledgling nights at the 2 iconic venues.
Lee Fredericks aka MC Lethal as most will remember him was Daz's sidekick back in the day and their unique brand of multi genre rave antics had them guesting at various events across the midlands and northwest but nowhere was as important as their residencies in Longton. Lee of course was the first rave MC to release music spawning rave hits 'Ravedigger' & 'The Phantom' on Network Records alongside label mates ALTERN-8
Last but no means least is the mighty Pete Bromley. Pete was the first DJ to play a full house music set in Shelleys in 1988 and went on to play at numerous fledgling nights in Shelleys and was of course one of the resident DJ's alongside his friend Daz Willott at Stokes first regular successful rave night, INTROSPECTIVE at The Leisurebowl!
It's set to be an amazing event and to make it even more magical, the venue is in LONGTON, just around the corner from where both SHELLEY'S and the LEISUREBOWL once stood.
