Advanced Motorcycle Riding ToursMAY 2025
A bespoke way to start to enjoy not only the sights and beauty of our neighbours across the channel or north of the boarder but also a way to develop and advance your riding skills as a solo rider but also as a group participant.
We have designed a series of daily rides from our base to guide you through some of the best roads in the region we are visiting. Riding in groups of up to 10 with our advanced tutors dispersed though out the group, you will be able watch their approach to the road ahead. What pace they use, their positioning, their checks and observations, how and when to progress and just as important, when not to.
At each stop throughout the ride you can discuss how you fared, how you felt and how you can improve on all aspects of your riding. Getting guidance on the next section of the ride and putting into practice the advice you have been given.
Our aim is to take you through some of the nicest regions of France, Belgium and Luxemburg. We will be exploring the Ardennes Forest or even the Moselle Valley along with the highways and byways in between.
From the initial meet up either locally or down at Folkestone, we gather together and venture forth to the channel tunnel and the excitement beyond.
We have planned and arranged the accommodation, the routes, the views and all the fueling stops, for both you and the bikes. So all you need to do is kit up, jump on and join in.
Group riding is kept loose and relaxed and at a pace everyone can achieve without risk. Directions and routes can be loaded onto your satnav. But we will use the tried and tested “second man drop off“ system, this will ensure we all get to where we are going with minimal fuss. This builds confidence and keeps the group moving along, allowing you more time to enjoy the ride and views along the way.
The Tutors
We have joined forces with some of the Derbyshire ROSPA riders group to bring along their advanced riding tutors. These guys will be there to guide your ride for the duration of the event. All the tutors hold the highest civilian riding standard award, the ROSPA GOLD. They donate their time and experience to coaching the young and the old alike to become better safer faster riders. Enabling there members to get more enjoyment from the wide range of motorcycles they own and ride (BMW is not compulsory)
Accommodation
The accommodation has been kept clean and simple. Selected for the location and the range of rides offered for that region. Breakfast is not always the best in the hotels in these locations but a visit to the local boulangerie on the way out can be a real treat.
Evening meals will be available locally along with a bit of site seeing and maybe a drink or two, all so you can enjoy your time reliving the day’s events with your new friends and sharing stories of your successes.
Each trip is offered to groups of friends and associates to join up and join in. We build the plans around the groups and the folks involved. We will be looking for routes to ride and land marks to visit along the way, whether it is the memorials of the Great Wars or the Vineyards of the Great Wines.
We hope to introduce you to the joy of riding with friends in a safe learning and supportive environment, allowing you to settle with either group rides at advance levels of skills and confidence or your first of many, I hope, intercontinental excursions on your bike and the world of motorcycle touring.
