About this Event
'Rattle Snake' is a powerful play inspired by the real-life stories of women who have experienced and survived coercive control in domestic abuse.
Created by Open Clasp Theatre Company, the play has reached over 27,000 viewers since its debut and coincided with the landmark 2015 law that made coercive control within relationships a criminal offence.
Following the screening, there will be a panel discussion chaired by Professor Nicole Westmarland, Director of the Centre for Research into Violence and Abuse (CRiVA) and Professor of Criminology at Durham University.
This special fundraising event supports RSACC, with all proceeds helping to provide specialist support services for survivors of rape and sexual violence in Darlington and County Durham.
