We’re doing an earlier ride for the fabulous Tewantin to avoid traffic on the way home, but no so early you have to be up at 4am tomorrow get there! We’ll meet in the car park at the Wooroi day use area (gravel service road leads to car park). If you’d like to carpool, use the comments section to organize your car pool buddies.Suitable for: 🟢 🔵 Adventurous beginner riders and above - comfortable with green trails and moving into blue trails. Hills and blue technical features are becoming OK for you (you may need to walk one or two, but most are fine). Rides are usually 15-18km in length and will always be tailored to the level of riders in the group, so don’t feel you’ll be holding others back. However, the ride is not suitable for absolute beginners.
Location: This is the favorite trail network of many SEQ MTBers! It has predominantly flown trails, often a bit sandy, and bit jurassic rainforest. Lots of rollers, rollable jump lines and long downhills. There’s also some solid climbs to enable those lovely downhills. Tewantin is an unmissable experience.
Time: Rollout is at 9.00am (hot weather) so aim to get there by 8.30am to get ready and be briefed on the ride. There are no toilets onsite so hit up a service station or public amenity before you get there.
Bring: Auscycling Insurance (see below for more details), water/electrolytes, snacks, sunscreen, tools, helmet, capable mtb and your sense of humour 🤣.

Insurance and Membership: All riders must have AusCycling insurance, you are covered if you are a member of the RATS or another affiliated MTB or cycling club. If not, get a free trial AusCycling licence here, which will cover you for a few rides:
