The 2025 Ratiu Forum History Workshop, coordinated by John Lotherington (21st Century Trust, London), is now accepting applications.The workshop focuses on History and Identities and is open to high-school level History teachers and university students reading for a History degree from Romania, Moldova, and Serbia.
Leading academics from prominent institutions, including the London School of Economics, University of Maynooth, University of Bucharest, University of Debrecen, and University of Belgrade, will lead sessions exploring how nation states shape historical narratives, the role of modern media in fashioning 'imagined communities,' contested viewpoints in history classrooms, and the role of arts in presenting historical narratives.
The application deadline is Monday, February 18, 2025.
