About this Event
Learn about dune preservation, including how dunes help with flood mitigation and the overall health of Delaware's coastal habitats. Visit a local dune site to see how beach grass planting helps maintain dune systems along Delaware's shorelines. During the site visit, participants will be able to see a freshly planted dune next to a dune system with established beach grass. Participants can walk from the fire hall to the dune site (approx. 1/2 mile in the sand) or can drive down the road to park next to the site.
