Using the diverse repertoire of Odissi, this vibrant Classical presentation crafts a captivating portrait of human emotions. Witness dance as a form of storytelling with award-winning Odissi exponent Shashwati Garai Ghosh and her talented dancers — the ‘Angashhuddhi Ensemble’. Mentored by legends such as Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra, Shashwati Garai Ghosh is a celebrated Odissi dancer of her generation. Shashwati is the inaugural recipient of the Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Yuva Pratibha Samman as well as the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar. As a performer, choreographer and educator, her body of work is distinguished by palpable grace and vigour. She founded ‘Angashuddhi - Home for Odissi’ in Kolkata to explore and nurture the art of Odissi for future generations.
