🕘 9:00am – 4:45pm
We are pleased to invite you to the upcoming RASASC North Wales Conference 2026 – “Reducing Offending: Strengthening Safeguarding in North Wales.”
This important event follows the publication of the recent Child Practice Review (LINK HERE) into the offending of former headteacher Neil Foden. The conference will provide an opportunity to reflect, learn, and share best practice across agencies — ensuring that lessons learned and recommendations are shared and are embedded across North Wales.
This conference is to share learning, understanding, and strengthening safeguarding practice across education, social care, health, justice, and community sectors.
Our keynote speaker, Jan Pickles OBE, Independent Chair of the Review, will explore key themes including:
- Perpetrator behaviour and professional conduct
- Governance and culture in schools
- The impact of abuse on children, families, and communities
- Practical learning to improve safeguarding systems
In addition to the keynote, delegates will take part in interactive workshops led by:
- Sally Holland, Professor of Social Work looking at how to prevent abuse in positions of trust
- David Chadwick, “The Prevent Guy”, exploring extremism, misogyny, and online harm
- Survivors sharing lived experiences and insights for change
- And other sector experts bringing practical tools and real-world learning
Early Bird Offer: £65 per ticket (available until 31st December 2025)
After this date, standard tickets will be £75
