The beloved movie star even refused to work with Patsy Kelly, a hard luck performer who Carole thought to be doomed. Here, Lombard plays a character on the receiving end of unsettling news, menacing specters, and opportunistic fiends. All told, this cursed film likely belongs at the bottom of a well. In its time, Supernatural was poorly received. Upon modern reappraisal, the title remains in search of an audience.
