Cherry Burton Arts are preparing for some great acts for the Autumn season – kicking off with party band ‘Rapture’ on Friday 10 October at 8pm. The Village Hall in Cherry Burton nr Beverley will be bouncing to hit after hit from the much loved band -that had people dancing in the rain at this summer’s Cherry Burton Village Show!
Led by Simon Stevens -drummer and occasional bass guitarist, Rapture are in demand not only nationally but internationally- having recently returned from playing in the south of France. Singer Leanne keeps any audience entertained with a fantastic collection of songs everyone knows- great fun from the word go.
The multi-talented musicians can exchange instruments too at the drop of a hat, and their infectious enthusiasm and uplifting music radiates throughout any room or festival space.

For the Rapture event a BAR is being provided, and support act DAISY DOT will be warming up the audience before the main band take to the stage.
Other shows lined up for this season include THE EAGLES STORY -with Midnight Flyers on Friday 24 October, a BEATLES & STONES NIGHT with Abbey Road and Stikkyfingers on Saturday 15 November- and another fundraiser for the Village Hall on Saturday 29 November when HALL TOGETHER NOW #4 showcases 6 local acts
Cherry Burton Arts organiser Martin Peirson added “This is quite an exciting run of events-all very different, but all great fun whether its grass roots acoustic music or party hits-there is always a great atmosphere. People often come from miles around to see these shows-everyone is very welcome, though locals in the immediate rural vicinity are lucky to have all this right on their doorstep!”
