RAPTURE - An Immersion with Satu Tuomela

The pause is a part of the music creation. It is a part of the whole. It is the sound of the silence.
A small pause creates breath, punctuation, articulation, restarting, preparation for something new.
A longer pause may increase the intensity of the moment, can lead to or bring something unexpected.
The pauses are necessary in the music language as they are in spoken languages. They give purpose and colour. Without pauses would not be music.
"Pauses are main part of all music forms.” -Ilias Vascouli
Just like in music, in movement the In-betweens matter. Repose matters. Rest matters.
Body shifts in these pauses as much as in movement and when we look at somatic psychotherapy, and how any change begins in the physical body, we will find that once the Opening happens and body shifts from a state of disregulation to regulation, or from a hyper/hypo arousal state to feeling safe in the present moment, “the domino effect of personal healing and transformation begins to unfold”, shares Peter Levine.
What are these Openings? One might call them even Awakenings. We will also point to them as moments of Rapture- When what was stuck becomes unstuck and starts to flow as part of the river of you again.
What will stay will stay and what must go will go.
Openings are what we will explore through the lens of Somatics Earthing, Embodied Yoga Asana and Embodied Yin. You can expect lectures, intuitive movement practices, experiential anatomy, more specific movement containers, powerful soundscapes, rest and sounding.
The goal is to expand the window of ‘experience tolerance’ so that our perception and experience of safety expands and meets accurately the present moment experience thus expands a sense of trust, safety, and security in the present. This does not mean just BIG experiences and BIG raptures but meeting the more important delicate and subtle waves of ordinary opportunities of bliss- These are many times the biggest Openings.
You will meet your innermost being and reality, so that we actually feel the rapture of Being.
You can join us for a single day, or both. Timings are:
Saturday 1100 - 1730
Sunday 1100 - 1800
