What I need to know about for Hapeh, Sananga & Bobinsana CeremoniesIt is advised to eat lightly on the day, avoiding meat if possible & no food, milk, tea or coffee (herbals is fine) 2.5 hours before ceremony, as this may make you purge.
If your a contact lens wear please do not wear to ceremony due to the sananga eye drops.

What is Hap-eh/Rapé & what are it's benefits?
Hap-eh / Rapé is Legal sacred shamanic snuff medicine, it's an extremely powerful, distinct shamanic medicine, from tribes living in the Amazon rainforests.
It is pronounced ‘ha-peh’ in English. Also known as ‘hape’, ‘hapi’ or ‘rapay” by some Western people, also Rapé means "dust of the ancients."
Rapè medicine is beautiful, sacred, strong, precious, profoundly healing and cleansing medicines.
They are made in a very sacred way, by singing & praying over them the whole time they are being made. W lot of time & hard work goes into the process of creating these sacred medicines.
They contain various Amazonian medicinal plants, trees, leaves, seeds, ashes, mapacho & and other sacred ingredients.
Most of the rapés are made by different indigenous tribes in various South American countries – mainly Brazil, Columbia, Ecuador & Peru.
Traditionally, they are applied by using a pipe made from bamboo or bone, which is blown through each nostril on both sides. They are administered by an experienced person who has been initiated in to the sacred path of hap-eh, using a blow pipe called a ‘Tepi’ in Brazilian tradition.
The pipe links the blower’s mouth to the person receiving the Hap-eh nostrils, it is administered into both nostrils.

Receiving Sananga

A Sananga ceremony can be painful, the eye is very sensitive, when the drops are administered an intense burning sensation follows, likened to that of having a strong chilli in your eye. It usually last for 5-10 minutes depending on the strength of the Sananga eye medicine.
The pain experienced in this ritual is an important part of the healing process. It is recommended for the person to use their breath, this helps to guide them through their intense pain, to help them relax without tensing up.
By using deep breathing the person will gain the greatest benefit—when open to the pain a cleansing can take place not only for the eyes but the spirit & mind also.
Sananga pain releases endorphins, which are produced by the body to heal pain. The endorphins stay in the body after the sananga is gone, leading to a feeling of total relaxation. Once the pain leaves the sananga is no longer in your body, feelings of deep relaxation can be felt.
