Following his debut at Harbourfront Theatre in 2024, we are delighted to welcome back to our stage award-winning Island country artist Randy J. Martin.
Randy J. Martin’s career started in the early 90s after winning a string of local and regional talent competitions which included Q-93 Star Search, Bud Country Talent Search and Star Track 93.
Randy’s rise to the national stage began after his 3 year iron-work stint on the historic Conferation Bridge turned into the set for his Top 20 radio CMT hit “Ain’t Enough Hours ” . This project got National News coverage on CTV and CBC with Nolton Nash.
Martin would go on to record 3 solo albums from 94 – 99, producing 8 Top 40 Can Con Hits and 2 top 20’s, as well as 4 regularly rotating CMT music videos. He garnered 8 music industry award nominations including 4 AIRA nominations in Nashville, winner of International Best New Male Artist, a Big Country Award for Male Artist Of The Year 1998, an ECMA in 2000 for Male Artist of The Year and Album Of The Year in 2001 at the Canadian Indies.
In 2001, Randy was asked by his musical hero and friend Stompin Tom Connors to tour across Canada as his opening act, playing to audiences as big as 45,000. In 2002, Randy J Martin moved to Alberta where he formed the band Sweet Tequila and went on the record 3 more albums.
Randy continues to write songs and has penned hits with artists such as Thomas Wade, Jo Hikk, Tristan Horncastle, Mike Gouchi and Sweet Tequila.
Sweet Tequila still tours to this day throughout Western Canada as the band has shared stages with some of the biggest names in the business. Balanced with running a concert firm, an agency and a TV Network, Life is good.

Alyssa Harper – Support Act
Emerging from the traditional East coast and country music scene predominately enjoyed “Up West” in stunning PEI, you’ll easily recognize that Alyssa has surfaced as a diamond in the rough. As a singer/song writer her powerful and commanding voice is one that has led several bands and whether it’s for live performances or as a vocalist in the studio she is consistently sought out as a featured vocal performer; her voice beautifully lends itself well to her traditional roots in country and to her passion for rock n’ roll. On stage this raven-haired songstress manages to bring the same intensity to an intimate acoustic show as she does to a rock festival, she commands the stage with grace, gratitude and grit.
