Meet Catriona Pollard – Contemporary Artist & Master Basket Weaver
Renowned contemporary artist Catriona Pollard transforms foraged plant fibers into breathtaking organic sculptures using traditional basketry techniques. Through her art, she invites people to reconnect with nature—not just through its physical beauty but on a deep, emotional level. Her work serves as a bridge between humanity and the natural world, fostering a sense of wonder, mindfulness, and sustainability.

Catriona’s work is exhibited in solo, group, and curated exhibitions. She has been a finalist and award-winner in prestigious competitions, including International Art Textile Biennale, National Capital Art Prize, Environmental Art & Design Award, North Sydney Art Prize, Australian Fibre Arts Award, Ravenswood Women’s Art Prize, Northern Beaches Art Prize, Emerging Artist of the Year Craft NSW and Mosman Art Gallery.

She also founded the online School of Basketry Art, where students from around the world learn her unique approach to weaving and sculptural art.
