R&B Slow Flow Yoga
Join for a relaxing and grounding yoga session amongst plants and under the candlelight to slowly melt into your evening. Alexia will guide you through a gentle yoga flow focused on releasing tension in the body, connecting to the breath, and allowing space and freedom to move in a way authentic to you. Whether you're new to yoga, have been practicing for years, or just want to lay on your mat and breathe to the sounds of R&B, this space is open to you!
The event is donation/pay what you can to offer opportunity for anyone in the community to participate.
Things to Know
- Mats are available, but you are welcome to bring your own if you choose!
- Please feel free to bring any props that you enjoy using during your practice (blocks, straps, blanket, etc.)
- Feel free to bring water
About Alexia
Alexia is a recently graduated 200 hour registered yoga teacher in the Spring/Woodlands area. She chose to get her YTT to use her voice to spread the importance of mental health and wellness and show that yoga is accessible to all. As a black woman, she has had multiple instances in group fitness and yoga spaces where she has felt undervalued and not included which drove her to become certified and create a space for inclusivity.
Her teaching style focuses on creating a warm, playful and supported environment to empower individuals to explore and intuitively tap in to what their bodies need and feel during the practice vs. focusing on comparison and how their bodies should look.
