About this Event
Comedy @ Commonwealth presents headliners RAN BARNACLO and BLAKE HAMMOND! Doors open at 6pm. Show starts at 7:00pm.
Blake Hammond is a fat and loud comedian from Cincinnati, Ohio. He is equal parts funny and honest. He weaves well written jokes with a natural story telling ability that creates a show that everyone can enjoy. Blake is a staff writer for the nationally syndicated morning show Bob and Tom. His fat and loud comedy has been put on Audible.com and he was a featured performer on the 2018 Limestone Comedy Festival. Blake has opened for Patton Oswalt, Mark Normand, Kyle Kinane and Doug Stanhope. Most recently, he just recorded his first special titled “Blake 182” which will be out on YouTube 11/23/22. Lastly, Blake would also like you to follow him on Twitter @bigradmachine.
A born & raised Cincinnati comedian, Ran Barnaclo has proven himself a front runner in the local scene after winning the title of 2017's Funniest Person in Cincinnati. Ran has also been nominated as 'Best Comedian' in Best of Cincinnati's 2018,19,21 locally voted contest. Ran's comedy is full of calculated descriptions, crowd work and riffs that have audiences ( in the case of one woman in Peoria Illinois) puking on a table laughing. His story telling abilities are so detailed they can take the crowd out of their seats and into the mind of this scream artist. Ran has been able to build a fan base at his home club, Go Bananas Comedy Club; in Cincinnati. He has shared the stage with national headliners such as Chad Daniels, Sean Patton and Kyle Kinane.
OUR EVENTS AND FACILITY
Unless otherwise noted, our events are open to all ages. However, some of our events, like stand-up comedy, may contain content that some guests will find offensive, or inappropriate for some age groups. We encourage audience members to do their own research before attending a performance or event to ensure their own comfort while in attendance.
Comedy @ Commonwealth, Northern Kentucky’s only comedy club, is housed in Commonwealth Sanctuary, the historic, former Tower Methodist Church, built in 1914. The original stained glass windows and custom-built, curved pews are all still on site. Now, in its new life as a Community Events Venue, this beautiful old building hosts the best stand-up comedy, music, theater, and cinema that you can find in the Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati area. The facility features a full sound system, programmable stage lighting, and a concession stand where we serve a full menu, including beer, wine, and cocktails.
PARKING
Please look for parking in the city parking lot directly behind Commonwealth Sanctuary, in the second city parking lot located one block east near Galactic Chicken, and on the street along 6th Ave.
ACCESSIBILITY
NOTE: Because of the age and architecture of the building, this facility is not wheelchair accessible.
