Tomorrow marks the premiere of ✨Ramses’ Rocks✨ for string quartet, a joint commission by @estovestfestival and @unionemusicale to honour the 200th anniversary of @museoegizio the newly renovated Egyptian Museum in Turin, a treasure trove of history and wonder. Composed after a journey along the Nile, this string quartet is inspired by the timeless elegance and magnificence of ancient Egypt, the rocks and the materials used to build statues and monuments, and the vibrant energy of the Castalian String Quartet. The concert matches ✨ Ramses’ Rocks ✨, written in 2024, with Beethoven’s op. 127, composed in 1824, and celebrates art and culture across two centuries.
