The Aikido Association of Puerto Rico (合気道 プエルト·リコ 協会) is proud to announce an Aiki Arts Seminar to celebrate the 45th Anniversary of Bolívar Ramírez Sensei's training in Martial Arts from November 23rd to November 24th, 2024 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The event will also celebrates the 25th Anniversary of Shushinkan Aiki Budo serving the community of Puerto Rico since April 25th, 1999. The training is open to students of any martial art or rank, and from any organization or dojo. Aiki Arts instruction will be provided by:1. Javier J. Vázquez-Shihan, 6th Dan Aikikai (Puerto Rico)
2. Ashley Hennessy-Shihan, 8th Dan Shioda Aikido (Canada)
3. Miguel A. Alicea-Hanshi, 10th Dan Nihon Koden Shindo Ryu Karate-Do (Puerto Rico)
4. Miguel A. Ibarra-Hanshi, 10th Dan Yamabushi Jujutsu/Aikijutsu Ryu (USA)
Dr. Bolívar Ramírez began his martial arts training at the early age of four years. Ramírez Shihan has been actively involved in the practice and teaching of martial arts for 45 years and is the head instructor of the Aikido Association of Puerto Rico. Dr. Ramírez holds black belts in the martial arts of Karatedo, Aikido, Judo and JuJitsu. He devoted himself to intense Japanese martial arts training and truly led a life of 'Bunburyoudou' or unification of literary and martial arts.
The Aikido Association of Puerto Rico's purpose is to promote the art of Aikido around the island, and to foster quality, professional Aikido instruction.
