Join us to rally in response to the recent government ban on puberty blockers for trans and gender diverse youth! This is a peaceful and whānau-friendly gathering to support kids who will be hurt by this decision, and a call to the government to reverse their decision for the sake of these young people.
This gathering is for anyone who is a part of or an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community. There will be facepainting, temporary tattoos, music and bubbles! Feel free to bring a sign that shows your support for our trans and gender diverse young people. We will also have some extra ones if you dont have time to make your own. Come dressed in rainbow to enter your name in a prize draw!
This is a whānau-friendly peaceful show of pride.
Kids are welcome, but be aware we can't know how other people will act towards us so it's up to you to make the right decision for you and your tamariki. We will have people on-site with de-escalation training to help ensure this is a safe event for everyone. We also have first aid certified volunteers who will be attending.
