Welcome all Sidney Bechet enthusiasts. And even if you don’t recall his legendary musical style there will be a lot to be enthusiastic about at the upcoming concert hosted by the Potomac River Jazz Club
Sidney studied with the great Joseph “King” Oliver becoming one of the first important jazz reed musicians. His career accelerated when he moved to France where he was revered as a musical God.
This PRJC event promises to be a great tribute to this extraordinary composer/performer! Leading on the bandstand will be Ralf Böcker a Germany native now playing in the DC area.
