Raleigh's Biggest Group Ride!Critical Mass takes place on the last Friday of every month around the globe. This group ride aims to be as large as possible to achieve, as the name suggests, a critical mass. Bicycles, scooters, one-wheels, skateboards, skates, and other forms of transportation are all considered traffic and deserve to safely use our public roads.
Current road designs are hostile to anyone not in a car, and as a result, driver distraction and hostility toward non-car users have become an epidemic. People want to move freely and safely without fear of being injured—or worse.
Critical Mass challenges these unfortunate norms by creating traffic with vehicles that aren’t cars, trucks, or motorcycles. We keep each other safe. Everyone else can wait. We’re all just trying to bike each other home.
