Paint a handmade pot to be Raku Fired at the Floating Fayre, Bradford on Avon
what.3.words location - ///lilac.intent.canal
On Saturday 29th November 12 - 4pm come along to this workshop for all ages where you can paint glaze on a handmade vase to take home. We will explain the glazes and the transformative effects that happen in the raku firing.
On Sunday 30th November the pots will be fired in the towpath kiln and pulled out, glowing red hot at 4pm and plunged into a bath of sawdust - a spectacle to see the pots transform! A perfect and unique gift or memory!
From 5pm on Sunday 30th November, your pots will be available to collect but postage can be arranged if you cannot return.
Each pot is £25 pp
To book your timeslot, please pay the deposit of £5 (+booking fees) here on eventbrite
and pay the rest on the day (cash preferred!)
There are also 6 spaces free for children or those with lack of funds from the boating community thanks to the wonderful *Floaty Boat - please contact me directly to book. The time slots for this will be between 10am and 12pm.

You are then invited back on Sunday 30th November at 4pm to watch the raku process where the pots are pulled from the kiln, glowing hot at 1000'c and put into sawdust which transforms the glazes and turns the pots from white to rich black (because of the reduction atmosphere)
You are welcome to get involved to help finish your pots at this time and pick them up to take them away at 5pm.
