In this workshop:
Navigating the complexities of raising kids in today’s technology-driven environment is not easy.
In this workshop, we’ll discuss how digital tools have shaped our children’s daily lives and explore effective strategies for establishing boundaries that reflect family values, encourage skill-building, and support healthy relationships with technology. We’ll cover child and adolescent brain development, the impact of screen time on mental health, and how to foster balanced tech habits that align with your parenting goals.

About the Presenter:
Samantha Straub a licensed clinical professional counselor who treats adolescents and their parents and the owner of Teen Savvy Coaching, where she provides individual and group coaching for parents of teens and tweens. She is also a veteran educator, having spent her early years as a classroom teacher and administrator, followed by 18 years as a school counselor for middle and high school students. She has created and implemented numerous programs for teens on a wide range of issues that include leadership training, conflict resolution, anxiety/stress management, study habits, healthy relationships, responsible use of technology, drug and alcohol prevention, and sexuality education She has spent her entire 26-year career championing teenagers and supporting their adults to create healthy, positive environments where teens can thrive.
