Raising Backyard Poultry for Meat: Broiler Chickens

Thank you for registering for the Broiler Chicken training. My name is Stephen Jennewein and I am the Small Farms & Alternative Enterprises Extension Agent in Duval County. In this class I will cover the basics of permitting, caring for, raising, slaughtering, and cleaning broiler chickens. It is just a little over an hour and very informative. The class will consist of a lecture and then an exhibition of a functional coop at the UF/IFAS Urban Garden (coop may not be accessible on the class day).
