About this Event
In 2023, The Dryes launched their first North Carolina songwriter’s round show, blending the Nashville industry with local talent, giving them a place to meet other artists to connect and be inspired and for those attending to simply enjoy stories and songs written through all walks of life. This show on February 7th, 2026 at Pinedale Christian Church will launch The Dryes first faith based writer’s round. The Dryes will host and perform, featuring one of their favorite worship leaders out of Nashville, Rita Springer. Also featuring an amazing talent right here from NC, Christian Hohn. It will be a night of music you won’t want to miss!
The Dryes:
Katelyn and Derek Drye are from Winston Salem, NC (Katelyn grew up at Pinedale Christian Church) and moved to Nashville, TN in 2014. Since launching their career in 2018, The Dryes (husband and wife) have caught the attention of USA Today, Rolling Stone, People, American Songwriter, Billboard, among others, and have gained thousands of fans and followers along the way. In addition to their own touring schedule, the pair is currently on tour with Dolly Parton’s Threads: My Songs in Symphony, a show co-produced by Dolly Parton herself.
After premiering on Season 22 of NBC’s The Voice (Team Blake), they went on tour with Jo Dee Messina as direct support on her national “Heads Carolina, Tails California Tour” and Derek secured a partnership with PRS Guitars. They have had songs land on ABC and Netflix shows and their music catalog shows the full spectrum of who they are. A little country and a lot of Jesus.
Rita Springer:
Rita Springer is one of the most gifted worship leaders to arise over the last fifteen years. She believes that the joy of being a worship leader is to make those listening, jealous for what has been found in Christ. Making Christ famous through the art, act and physical sound of our worship is Rita’s anthem and her deepest desire is to see this arise in the body of Christ. Her motto is; “To make the Lord famous in whatever I do with my worship and relationship with Him”. Born out of that deep desire and to see women free through the tools of the Word, Worship and Prayer, she started her own women’s conference in 2000 called ‘Fragrant Oil’ it was an incredible season of 7 years watching God use worship powerfully to transform lives across the globe.
In 2008 she began a worship school called DIVE. (Deep - Innovative - Vertical - Expression) The School trains and encourages upcoming worship leaders all over the world with weeklong intensive one-on-one courses. Staying true to her calling, Rita continues to write new songs and leads worship at churches, conferences and events around the country. Rita released her first book in 2013, Finding Eve.
Christian Hohn:
Christian Hohn is a singer, songwriter, and worship pastor from Pleasant Garden, North Carolina whose music captures the heart of small-town life and the hope found in faith. With lyrics rooted in honesty and melodies that carry a sense of home, Christian crafts songs that reflect real life and point people back to something greater than themselves. Raised in church, Christian began singing and playing drums at a young age, quickly finding that music was more than just a talent — it was a calling. As a teenager, he discovered a deep love for songwriting, using it as a way to process life, faith, and the beauty of ordinary moments. That passion eventually led him to ministry, where he now serves as the Worship Pastor at Vintage Church in Randleman, North Carolina.
Currently writing and recording songs in Nashville, he’s preparing to release his first collection of music in early 2026 — a project that tells the story of faith through the lens of everyday life, struggle, and redemption. Christian toured last fall with Ben Fuller on the Walk Through Fire Tour.
