Learn how to take your gardening to the next level at a program all about raised beds on Wednesday, April. 9 at 1:00 p.m. The program will be presented at the Rockport Public Library by Maine Master Gardner Volunteer John Fromer. It is part of the library’s spring series of free horticulture programs in partnership with Merryspring Nature Center.Fromer will discuss what plants can be grown in raised beds; why raised beds are useful; and various construction materials and design ideas. The program will also cover raised bed irrigation, soil considerations, season extension, and crop rotation for flowers, vegetables, and herbs.
