Raise The Feather: An Evening of Indigenous Storytelling

🪶On March 6 at 8:00 pm, The Westdale will be presenting an evening of storytelling, music, and poetry with Raise The Feather: An Evening of Indigenous Storytelling!
The evening is hosted and curated by writer and filmmaker Cher Obediah, Ojibway and Mohawk of the Turtle Clan from Six Nations Ontario, with roots in Alderville First Nation.
🎶🎤📕Audience members will enjoy the eloquence of poetic speaker, Chief Stacey Laforme, and a reading from passionate author, Dawn Cheryl Hill. There will be performances by local singer songwriters Layla Staats, showcasing how she uses music to bring awareness to Indigenous injustices, and Lacey Hill, an inspirational speaker whose artistic process revolves around honouring one's gifts.
