About this Event
The Brazos County Master Gardeners, in partnership with the Brazos Valley Groundwater Conservation District, celebrate home water conservation with seminars exploring rainwater harvesting for garden use, including a workshop to build and take home your own rain barrel. Talks include:
‘How to Hook up your Rain Barrel’
‘Alternative Rainwater Harvesting Techniques’
Exhibitors include Jennifer Nations, College Station Water Resource Coordinator, ‘How To Make A Rain Chain’ station, Brazos Valley Groundwater Conservation District and Brazos County Master Gardeners answering gardening questions.
Master Gardeners will be available to assist with the assembly of rainwater barrels. Seating is limited.
Registration to make a rain barrel is $25, each household is limited to one rain barrel. Please make sure your vehicle can accommodate the transport of a 55-gallon barrel to your home.
No child care or children's activities will be available. Thank you for your understanding.
