The trek that will take you to into the rainbow of rocks! Rainbow Valley in Fujairah
This hike is easily accessible by regular car, located just off the highway on the way to Fujairah 1.5 hours from Dubai.
The hike is labeled as Step UP (intermediate) it is a full 11km out and back route, with the the option to shorten or turn around if necessary. It will take a full 4 hours with lots of up and downs especially at the end of the trek as well as some scrambling - so you need to be sure about your fitness before committing to the hike. Hiking shoes are always recommended, but trainers are doable.
The drive is easy, and parking is available on a tarmac road. It is a unique hike location - if you have been to hikes in RAK and Hatta, this will be a welcome change of scenery!
What to Expect on Step UP Hikes
Hikes start and finish within 15 minutes of published timings.
All trekkers can carry 3 liters of water on their own backs (not sharing)
All trekkers can walk for 3 hours at a faster pace than a beginner trek
Treks will last 3-4 hours, 10-12 km
300-500 m of ascent (harder walking and more effort!)
Trails are not as well formed with more scree and loose rocks,
A faster pace - but splitting into groups for different paces to accommodate everyone
Leaders that are informative and able to inform you about the flora, fauna and culture and history of the are as well as identify the animals and creatures (to touch or not!)
Learn and practice skills that will help you to become an independent and safe hiker
Attentive guides that will make sure you are hydrating and offer any help they think you need
Guides that carry absolutely everything in their first aid kit, from blister pads to a stretcher
What else is included in the trek fees?
All participants will be given electrolytes upon arrival
Snacks will be handed out in the middle of the trek
What do I need to bring:
Backpack with 3 liters of water
Hiking Shoes
Hat, sunglasses and sunscreen
Personal kit for health emergency: inhaler, extra insulin, sweet sugary snack (diabetics) EPI -Pen (for allergies)
Registration for the hike will close 24 hours before the hike begins as all participants will need to sign a waiver prior to joining the hike which will tell us
Your vaccination status
Your fitness level (generally)
Any relevant health issues (allergies, heart problems, diabetes)
An emergency contact
Permission (consent) for us to take care of you in an emergency
Liability waiver indicating that you understand the risks involved in the activity you are going to participate in
The waiver is really important for us to be able to understand anyone that is hiking with us and their general health in the event that something unexpected happens. We keep this information absolutely confidential.

How to reach the meeting point:
MEETING POINT
The meeting point does not require a 4x4 car. Any car can reach there.
We will send you the meeting location pin after you are added to the whatsapp group and update you the morning of arrival to confirm.
If you need a backpack, pay in advance 25 dh for backpack and a full kit of what you should always have in your backpack.
