About this Event
In this three hour workshop, hosted by Modern Nomad and Amie Krug of Boriya & Co, we will breeze over the history of macramé; and teach you how to craft a beautiful macrame rainbow!
We will also cover topics such as:
-measuring rope for future projects
-where to source supplies
-how to make your own patterns and designs
-answer all your questions with hands-on help
This class is open to beginners and includes all materials for your rainbow!

Modern Nomad is a Denver design collective featuring new and vintage furniture, textiles, lighting, rugs and accessories for the home. Everything has been carefully curated to bring you the latest in art and design, with an emphasis on supporting local businesses. The space is housed in a 5,500 SF warehouse in Denver’s booming RiNo district, and functions like a 3 dimensional living magazine with retailers displaying their product cohesively in an open-air market.
Amie Phillips is a fiber artist currently living and working in Denver, CO and running Boriya & Co. She received her BFA in Fine Art from Palm Beach Atlantic University, and developed a love for textile design during her years spent in Rajasthan, India. After three summers as a river guide she repurposed her knotting skills into an Macrame. Amie has run Boriya & Co and taught macrame workshops since 2015, and enjoys sharing her love for the craft with others.
