1st Session:Migration isn’t a new topic – we’ve all heard about it, and many of us have been part of the discussions. But every story, every perspective, and every country’s experience brings something new to the table.
📌 Crossing, Settling, Belonging: The Challenge of Integration
This presentation isn’t about repeating what you already know – it’s about:
✨ looking at how migration plays out differently in Slovakia and Lithuania,
✨ discovering fresh perspectives and stories that challenge stereotypes,
✨ reflecting on how integration really works – not just on paper, but in people’s everyday lives,
✨ comparing contexts to better understand our own.
And because talking is never enough, there will also be a short interactive activity where you’ll step into the shoes of a newcomer making tough life decisions.
As part of the Rainbow Challenge – Twin Communities on Human Rights initiative, this is an open space for reflection, sharing, and finding inspiration for building communities where everyone can belong. 🌍💜
Come curious, leave with new insights.
2nd Session:
Gender equality is not a new topic too– we’ve all seen the headlines, the campaigns, the data. But the reality is still here: inequalities affect millions of women and girls every single day. And no matter how much we know, there’s always more to explore, compare, and question together.
📌 From Inequality to Action: Exploring Gender Equality
In this session, we’ll dive into:
✨ how gender inequality shows up across the world,
✨ what the latest numbers reveal in different European contexts – from the pay gap to women in leadership,
✨ where we see inequality in our own everyday lives – at school, at work, at home, in our communities,
✨ surprising facts and perspectives that can make us rethink what we thought we knew.
You’ll also get to take part in a fun Kahoot quiz, to see what insights we share (and what might surprise us!).
This conversation isn’t about telling you what gender equality is – it’s about reflecting together, comparing contexts, and asking: what still needs to change, and how can we be part of that action? 🌍💜
👉 Both activities are led by volunteers of the “Rainbow Challenge – Twin Communities on Human Rights” project, who are stepping into human rights activism through educational initiatives. The project is co-funded by the European Union. Come and support young educators!
