This garden project in south St. Petersburg was created by the League of Women Voters of St. Petersburg with funding support from the Tampa Bay Estuary Program. It is currently being maintained by a small cadre of dedicated volunteers who desperately need more help! (While this is not a Pinellas FNPS project, we want to promote volunteerism for this project.)The garden performs stormwater treatment, provides for pollinators, and serves as a teaching garden for the Sanderlin Center and several nearby schools.
Volunteers meet twice a week for one hour to maintain this impressive garden that educates neighbors and the public large about the beauty and importance of native plants. No RSVP is necessary. Just show up!
