Please join us at the Railway Museum of San Angelo on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 12:30 pm when we will honor Mr. Bruce McLaren.
A consummate reader and writer, McLaren started volunteering at the museum in 2015 and served as President of the Historic Orient Santa Fe Railroad Museum Board. He volunteered to establish an organized library collection of railroad resources and created a series of railroad and transportation terms so the collection would be easier for users and individuals interested in the library.
You’re invited to the Railway Museum as the Board of Directors names the M. Bruce McLaren Research Library where he has made such an impact. The Concho Valley Retired Teachers will make a donation to the library, and EVERY PERSON can pick a free book from a collection of used books that were given to the Railway Museum. There will be snacks and desserts at 12:30 p.m. and you’re welcome to bring friends, 703 S. Chadbourne in San Angelo. For information, 325-486-2140.
