📍 Meeting Point: Wongwian Yai Railway Station, Bangkok
🚆 Join the Rail Riders Club for our second tag-along trip!
This is a free and casual trip for members of Asian Train Guide, where we explore one of Thailand’s most unique railway journeys—the Maeklong Railway! Just buy your own tickets as we go and chip in for shared transport.
Trip Plan:
🍜 Come hungry! There’s plenty to eat along the way!
🚆 Train 1: Wongwian Yai → Mahachai (10 baht)
• Catch the 7:40 AM train from Wongwian Yai.
• Arrive at Mahachai Station (Samut Sakhon) at 8:39 AM.
• Explore the market on the tracks and the nearby fish market for about an hour.
🚢 River Crossing & Walk to Ban Laem Station
• Take the short ferry ride across the river.
• Walk to Ban Laem Station and buy a ticket for the next train.
🚆 Train 2: Ban Laem → Maeklong (10 baht)
• Depart Ban Laem at 9:30 AM.
• Arrive at Maeklong Station (Samut Songkhram) at 11:10 AM.
• Watch the famous train pass through the market on the tracks!
🛺 Songthaew to Amphawa Floating Market (10 baht)
• Explore Amphawa Floating Market and enjoy lunch.
• Optional: Private boat tour (cost shared among those who join).
🛺 Return to Maeklong Station
• Take a songthaew back to Maeklong Station.
🚆 Return Journey:
• The last train back to Ban Laem leaves at 3:30 PM.
• Or take a bus back to Bangkok for 100 baht (faster option).
