Queering the Dots is hosting our first event! We will be at Drunken Monkey in Orlando from 6-8 PM on September 27th destroying and recreating art out of JK Rowling books! Even though millions of trans youth and adults have been positively influenced by the Harry Potter universe, our favorite TERF continually digs her heels in over and over again with her transphobic rhetoric and influence in the political sphere in the UK. To show Rowling our disgust with her behavior, we will be destroying her books to use for blackout poetry or any other form of art you wish to create!
The event will be free, with an optional donation. We will also have some anti-terf and other merch for purchase. All donations and purchases will go to the Central Florida Mutual Aid Trans Safety Fund. https://givebutter.com/trans-safety

Masks will be required for attendees and available at the event. The venue is a cafe with food and drinks available for purchase (which we encourage to support the venue!), however there will be members of the public coming through who will not be masked. There is also outside seating available!
