Raga Mala Calgary and National Music Centre are thrilled to welcome Carnatic vocal exponent, Bharat Sundar, to Calgary for the very first time!Accompanied by Sayee Rakshith on the violin, Sumesh Narayanan on the mridangam, and Chandrasekara Sharma on ghatam, experience an evening of some of the finest Indian classical music.

About Bharat Sundar:
Bharat Sundar is an award-winning Carnatic vocalist from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, with training under Sri PS Narayanaswamy, Dr. S Sowmya, Smt Leelavathy Gopalakrishnan, and Sri G Srikanth. Initiated by Smt Gayathri Mahesh, he is known for his distinctive,weight-laden Carnatic tone and a creative approach that balances tradition with innovation. As a singer, composer, and layam enthusiast, He has carved a niche for himself in the world of Carnatic music.
About Sayee Rakshith:
Sayee Rakshith, a student of Kumari A Kanyakumari and TVRamani, is a highly sought-after Carnatic violinist known for his versatility and tone. Renowned for his creativity, he excels not only in the violin but also in playing the keyboard and harmonium. His dedication and continuous learning have propelled him to a meteoric rise in the field of Carnatic music.
About Sumesh Narayanan:
Sumesh Narayanan, a student of Sangeetha KalanidhiThiruvaarur Sri Bhaktavatsalam, is a highly sought-after mridangist in Carnatic music. Renowned for his love for traditional mridangam art, he is equally known for constant innovation and pushing musical boundaries. With numerous awards to his name, Sumesh is also proficient in playing various percussion instruments.
About Chandrasekara Sharma:
Chandrasekara Sharma, a disciple of Sangeetha KalaAcharya Late Sri TH Subhash Chandran, is a highly sought-after ghatam artist in Carnatic music. His sensitive accompaniment is attributed to his knowledge in vocal music, having studied underSri N Vijay Siva and Sri RK Shriramkumar. Chandrasekara Sharma has earned acclaim through several awards in his illustrious career.
