About this Event
Richmond Art Gallery and the Richmond Media Lab host a monthly art-making social for adults every FIRST THURSDAY NIGHT of the month, February - December 2025.
Get together with friends and make some art!
Open studio time led by gallery staff for participants to cut and paste with a variety of materials and tools while you chat, listen to music, and sip some tea at our Collage Club social.
Inspired by the Gallery's exhibitions, each month will feature a new theme to inspire our projects.
We will also connect to international collage groups for you to share your collage works online, and provide printed copies of upcoming challenges from the Paris Collage Collective, Februllage, World Collage Day, and more.
RAG and Media Lab staff will open their vast collection of cool collage materials, digital tech, and more to lead a hands-on art-making night for adults. While the focus is on the tenets of collage and cut-and-paste culture, we welcome participant suggestions each month to experiment and play with various art materials and techniques.
All levels of artistic skill are welcome! Limited spaces, registration is required.
Recommended for ages 16+
$5 per person includes all art supplies and use of our equipment.
Please note - no refunds. Funds raised go towards supporting this program.
February Theme: UPCYCLE
This month we celebrate this new program by creating something new out of something old. Recycle, reuse, and repurpose old papers, magazines, photos, and posters to create a new artwork.
