Join Outdoor Education Services (OES) for a two-day adventure on the Mulberry River and Red Lick Mountain Bike Trails! This trip is designed for those seeking an exhilarating blend of whitewater paddling and mountain biking, with full support from OES guides.
Day 1: Mulberry River Paddling Expedition
🚣 Route: Campbell Cemetery to Mill Creek (12.7 miles)
📈 Gradient: 11 feet per mile
📍 Camp Location: Mulberry River Outdoor Adventures
This remote and breathtaking section of the Mulberry River features long pools and exciting rapids, including Hell Roaring Falls, a thrilling rapid located 3 miles below Campbell Cemetery. While the middle stretch of this run slows down, the final miles pick up in intensity as the river cuts through the mountains.
💧 Mulberry River Gauge at Turner Bend Landing:
🚫 Trip will be aborted if the water level is below 2.2 or above 4.4 feet.
🚴 If rafting isn’t possible, this adventure will pivot into a two-day mountain biking trip, including a ride at Mt. Nebo State Park.
🏕 Camping:
Night 1 will be spent at Mulberry River Outdoor Adventures, offering riverside camping and a perfect base for the adventure.
If rafting is canceled, we will camp at Mt. Nebo before an epic day of biking.
All camping gear, meals, and logistics will be fully supported by OES.
🍽 Meals Provided: Dinner, Breakfast, Lunches, snacks, and beverages.
Day 2: Red Lick MTB Trails - Clarksville, AR
🚴 Trail System: Red Lick MTB Trails
🌲 Trail Style: Hub-style bike park with Green, Blue, and Black trails
After a hearty campfire breakfast, we will shuttle to Red Lick MTB Trails in Clarksville—one of Arkansas' premier hub-style trail systems featuring a variety of flowy green trails, technical blue routes, and challenging black lines. Riders can choose their own adventure, with multiple loop options and full OES support throughout the day.
🛠 Mechanical & Logistics Support: OES guides will be on hand to assist with bike transport, setup, and on-trail needs.
