About this Event
Our speaker at the RAeS Paris Branch 2024 ‘Charles Lindbergh Memorial Lecture’, Mr. Johann Panier, Senior Vice-President Fleet Planning at Air France, will examine the fleet planning challenges facing a major international airline both currently and in the future. He will look at current issues such as the difficulty in obtaining aircraft delivery slots, aircraft delivery quality and the availability of skilled manpower in the aerospace industry following Covid. Looking to the future he will discuss the parameters which will drive an airline’s fleet development policy over the next 30 years, for example how an airline such as Air France may interface with Urban Air Mobility systems, and how they can take advantage of new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality.
Mr. Johann Panier graduated from ENSAM with a Master’s Degree in 2000 before going on to obtain an MBA from HEC in 2012. He joined Air France Industries in 2004, occupying a number of Purchasing roles before moving to Miami as CEO of Barfields in 2014. He returned to Air France Industries in 2018 to take up the role of Snr VP Business Development before being assigned the responsibility of Snr VP Fleet Management at Air France in January 2022.
