About this Event
John has worked with bats and their conservation for over 40 years. He is currently the Chair of Central Scotland Bat Group, which was formed by John and others in 1984.
John has been a bat worker with NatureScot (formerly SNH) doing casework since the 1980s. After leaving school teaching in 2005, he started a consultancy specialising in bats called Auritus Wildlife Consultancy. Since 2010 he has spent some time most summers investigating Leisler’s bats in the west and south of Scotland through radio-tracking.
